“Look in your own heart. Unless I’m crazy, right now a still small voice is piping up, telling you as it has ten thousand times, the calling that is yours and yours alone. You know it. No one has to tell you.”
-Steven Pressfield, The War of Art
“Indecision leads to inaction, which leads to low energy, depression, despair. Ultimately, liberation comes through the acceptance of limits. You can’t do everything, but you can do one thing, and then another and another. In terms of energy, it’s better to make a wrong choice than none at all.”

Bohemea’s Stack of Books (by bohemea)
On top of one of our bookshelves I stacked some of my favourite books along with the book I’m currently reading. I always read Clive Barker’s Books of Blood in October. It soothes me. Also dig my favourite bookmark that I’m always thinking I left in a library book, but was actually kicked under the bed by the cat. I’ve had it since 1992! It is precious.
[Meaghan’s Note: It’s so fascinating to me to see the books other people keep on their bookshelves. My own bookshelves are such an extension of myself, and I sometimes feel like they’re the starting point to understanding who I am.
As an aside, “Middlesex” by Jeffrey Eugenides is one of my favourite novels. & I’m just finishing up reading Michael Cunningham’s “The Hours”, which is such a lovely book. I can’t wait to dive into “Mrs. Dalloway” by Virginia Woolf & read Cunningham’s base text.]
